Description

This is a two part episode dedicated to a discussion on the topic of Translation that I discussed with Ms. Benrilo Kikon, a research scholar on translation and also a Manager of Admission Post Graduate Studies in Ashoka University. In this Part One episode, we look into the challanges in translation studies and how post colonial reading of the text has been an issue especially in the translation of the Bible in native tribal languages. We explore the translation principles of Ricuoer and Spivak's Politics of Translation that can be employed in translation process.
