Tanya Denckla Cobb is the Director of the Institute for Engagement & Negotiation at the University of Virginia. For several years now the Institute has been working on a process called “Transforming Community Spaces.” This process offers communities a way to discuss and come to terms with their complex problems. In this episode, Tanya explains how conflict management, negotiation, and mediation can be applied to historic preservation in order to build a more equitable and just society.
