President Trump Declares Nigeria “Country of Particular Concern”: ‘Christianity is Facing an Existential Threat in Nigeria’ From Islamic Terrorists
Description
After decades of deadly silence and deliberate cover-ups surrounding the systematic massacre of Christians by Muslims across Africa—a true genocide—President Trump finally threw down the gauntlet.
Trump doesn’t pull any punches, flatly declaring that “radical Islamists are responsible for this mass slaughter.” The truth, of course, is that there’s nothing “radical” about it, it is Islam – the same ideology that has inspired countless attacks before. And that silly, scrubbed term “Islamist”? It was invented to give Islam plausible deniability, to pretend the violence stems from some fringe distortion rather than the doctrine itself. Even so, Trump’s bluntness puts him miles ahead of the mealy-mouthed politicians who twist themselves into knots to avoid naming the ideology behind jihad.
As Turkey’s President Erdogan said to then Obama, ‘there is no moderate Islam. There is no extreme Islam. Islam is Islam.’
When, then, will he turn his attention homeward and take action against the “radical Islamist” networks operating right here in the United States?

National News Desk: President Donald Trump is being praised after he declared Nigeria a “Country of Particular Concern” (CPC) amid the ongoing murder of Christians at the hands of radical Islamist groups.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and other politicians — as well as rapper Nicki Minaj — also applauded the president.
Christianity is facing an existential threat in Nigeria,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Friday. “Thousands of Christians are being killed. Radical Islamists are responsible for this mass slaughter.”
Trump also called on Congressman Riley Moore and Chairman Tom Cole, along with the House Appropriations Committee, “to immediately look into this matter” and report back to him.
The president added that “something must be done” to stop the continued killings.
Yes sir.
The killing of innocent Christians in Nigeria — and anywhere — must end immediately. The Department of War is preparing for action. Either the Nigerian Government protects Christians, or we will kill the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities. pic.twitter.com/C0v9RHGoS1

The United States cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening in Nigeria, and numerous other Countries,” Trump said. “We stand ready, willing, and able to save our Great Christian population around the World!”

In September, Cruz introduced the Nigeria Religious Freedom Accountability Act of 2025 in hopes of designating the nation as a CPC.
If approved, the legislation would impose targeted sanctions against Nigerian officials who facilitate violence against Christians and other religious minorities, including by Islamist terrorist groups.
