SEEING RED: Mamdani Drops Smiley Face Act and Shows True Face: ANGRY, RACIAL HATRED, DIVISION
Description
In a New York minute….
CNN’s Van Jones was not a fan of Zohran Mamdani’s angry, far-left, rage-filled victory speech:
“I think he missed an opportunity. I think the Mamdani that we saw in the campaign trail, who was a lot more calm, who was a lot warmer, who was a lot more embracing, was not present in that speech. And I think that Mamdani is the one you need to hear from tonight. There are a lot of people trying to figure out, can I get on this train with him or not? Is he going to include me? Is he going — is he — is he going to be more of a class warrior even in office? I think he missed a chance tonight to to open up and bring more people into the tent. I think his tone was sharp. I think he was using the microphone in a way that he was almost yelling. And that’s not the Mamdani that we’ve seen on Tiktok and the great interviews and stuff like that.”
“So, I felt like it was a little bit of a character switch here, where the warm, open, embracing guy that’s close to working people was not on stage tonight. And there were some some other voice on stage. That said, he’s very young. And he just pulled off something very, very difficult. And I wouldn’t write him off, but I think he missed an opportunity to open himself up tonight. And I think that that will probably cost him going forward.”

Anyone who remembers Barack Obama’s angry and foreboding first inaugural address will know that this is a pattern. Now the smiles end and the true agenda becomes clearer. Now that New York City has chosen the socialist path, the capitalist roaders and Trotskyite wreckers will be dealt with firmly.
And above all, don’t be the first one to stop applauding New York’s new overlord. Remember that according to Solzhenitsyn, Soviet authorities had a factory chief was arrested and sent to the gulag for the crime of being the first to stop applauding at the end of one of Stalin’s speeches. Of course, it won’t work quite that way in New York, as New York is part of a larger country that is not as yet fully socialist, but the tendency will be in that direction: opposition will be bottled up even more completely than the New York City Republican Party is now.
Zohran Mamdani wins 2025 NYC mayoral election — wastes no time in declaring war on Trump in victory speech
By Craig McCarthy and Matt Troutman, NY Post, Nov. 4, 2025:
New Yorkers elected their first socialist mayor Tuesday, handing far-left Democrat Zohran Mamdani a historic victory — as he claimed a mandate for his potentially budget-busting progressive agenda and all but declared war on President Trump.
The Associated Press and NY1 called the race for the 34-year-old Mamdani about 40 minutes after polls closed at 9 p.m., eliciting cheers from his supporters at his campaign’s Brooklyn watch party.
“New York, tonight you have delivered a mandate for change, a mandate for a new kind of politics, a mandate for a city that we can afford and a mandate for a government that delivers exactly that,” he said, taking the stage after 11 p.m.
He then taunted Trump, prompting cheers from the fired-up crowd.
“So Donald Trump, since I know you’re watching, I have four words for you: Turn the volume up,” Mamdani said.
Mamdani, the Democratic nominee, carried 50.4% of votes to independent candidate Andrew Cuomo’s 42% at midnight, with nearly 98% of precincts reporting, the city Board of Elections said. GOP nominee Curtis Sliwa came in third with a rock-bottom 7.1%.
The Uganda-born Mamdani will be the Big Apple’s first Muslim, first South Asian and first socialist mayor, as well as one of the youngest.
“My friends, we have toppled a political dynasty,” Mamdani said in his 20-minute address.
“I wish Andrew Cuomo only the best in his private life but that [will be] the final time I utter his name.”
Far-left Democrat Zohran Mamdani has won New York City’s mayoral race — winning a mandate to move to enact his budget-busting, socialist agenda, according to preliminary projections. The Associated Press called the race for Mamdani, 34, about 40 minutes after polls closed, and with at least a few hundred thousand votes still to be counted. Mamdani carried 50.4% of votes to Andrew Cuomo’s 41.3% at around 9:40 p.m. The projection — which came with 75% of votes counted — also found GOP nominee Curtis Sliwa with rock-bottom 7.5% (NYPost).
Among the first public congratulations came from Alex Soros—son of George Soros and fellow Marxist radical: So proud to be a New Yorker! The American dream continues! Congrats, Mayor @ZohranKMamdan (Soros).
Wall Street Journal: We’ll soon learn if the 34-year-old Assemblyman has a pragmatic streak or sees his mission as making the city that never sleeps a socialist lab experiment…. the Assemblyman, who has never held a serious job outside of politics, has never demonstrated a talent for moderation. His smile is disarming, but his ideas are armed to the teeth. His mayoralty may test how much ruin there is in a city (WSJ).
