--Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the 31st APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Lima, Peru, and will also make a state visit to the country. President Xi will then travel to Rio de Janeiro to attend the 19th G20 Summit and will pay a state visit to Brazil.

--The U.S. Federal Reserve has lowered its interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point, setting the new target range at 4.5% to 4.75%.
