Have a seat and listen to an all new episode of Cinephomaniacs. We’re talking A24’s new psychological thriller ‘Primetime’!

Inspired by true events, ‘Primetime’ follows ‘To Catch a Predator’ host Chris Hansen (Robert Pattinson) over one tumultuous season in 2006. As the show reaches peak popularity, Hansen struggles to meet demand for more exciting perpetrators, all the while dealing with a personal crisis of his own creation. When the walls start to close in on Hansen, audiences will wonder whether he’s motivated by a righteous crusade against evil, a lust for fame, or a bit of both.

Documentarian Lance Oppenheim (‘Some Kind of Heaven’, ‘Spermworld’) directs his first narrative feature, with a distinctive visual style that feels ripped right out of a 2000s TV.

With a cast that also includes Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, and Phoebe Bridgers, ‘Primetime’ is tense, scary, and surprisingly funny, and Andrew and Peyton get into all of it, plus mini-reviews of ‘Boogie Nights’ and the new South Korean action sci-fi ‘Hope’.
