Nikita Chibrikov, the 22-year-old fiery forward from Russia, has earned himself a look alongside Toews and Gustav Nyquist -- and a two-year contract extension to go with it.

Has he truly claimed that spot ahead of Brad Lambert?

Meanwhile, Ville Heinola’s been placed on waivers -- raising questions about whether he’s become a mismanaged asset for the organization.
