There's a reason the words "filthy" and "rich" were wed. Obscene wealth can be spotted when rich people detest the poor. The religioius right is embarrassed by a working class Jesus who when he traveled often had no place to rest his head at night. They thus have created a bejeweled Jesus in their own image. Put it in the warehouse with Donald Trump's golden statue; both will do you the same amount of good. Lawmakers who make laws to make themselves wealthier while the poor go hungry, freeze outside in the cold weather, and die from lack of medical attention or the inability to afford medications are godless. Joel Osteen and his tribe are repulsive and have never met the Jesus of the Gospels.
