In the dialogue of Protagoras, Socrates and Protagoras are exploring the idea/question of virtue(highest morality) that can be taught. Protagoras the Sophist who has been running around Athens teaching virtue meet Socrates. Socrates is asking Protagoras if virtue can really be taught.
