This week, BC member, Joe McCormick preached from Psalm 41. He unpacks how King David was feeling in the midst of discouragement snd complaint about the way things are going, yet he recognizes the mercy of God.

Joe McCormick grew up in Houston Texas where he accepted Christ as his Savior as a young boy after his parents came to Christ through the ministry of a local church.  After attending Bible college in Florida, he served as a full-time youth pastor for many years at Heritage Baptist Church in Grand Rapids, MI as well as Highland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN.  While in Tennessee, he earned his Doctor of Ministry and was a Bible and youth ministry professor. He and his wife, Jo Carol, moved back home to Texas and settled in Rockwall in 2007. Joe was the founding pastor of DayStar Baptist church which he led for 12 years while working bi-vocationally.  God lead them to join The Church at Buffalo Creek in August of 2019. They have two sons, Jon and James who reside in New York City.
