In this episode, Dana Lerman shares her experience working as an Infectious Disease physician during the COVID-19 pandemic and why she is now pursuing a new career supporting mental health through psychedelic assisted therapy. She shares her own experience and the emotional toll of working with COVID-19 patients, families and the community and how this led to high levels of burn-out and PTSD. She sought psychedelic-assisted therapy for herself and had a profound experience that ultimately led her to create Open Mind Space in Evergreen, CO where she works with clients as a psychedelic-assisted therapy guide.
