She was born and raised in Visalia, CA to teen parents and high school sweethearts Yvette and Lisandro, who were born on opposite sides of the border. She is the eldest daughter of 6 children. Growing up, Lisa was gifted with wisdom and a love for art and all things outdoors. At a young age, she started questioning feminist philosophy, community stewardship and justice. Lisa has been a part of so many things, such as being a health service specialist and response center agent for planned parenthood, Mar Monte, a program manager for Act for Women and girls, TOLA fellow, airport manager, site lead, central valley philanthropy fellow, food equity and access manager and currently she has been called to lead Womxn wise. Womxn wise is a place for people to get support in making their dreams come to life.
