About Alex F. Crenshaw

Alex Crenshaw, founder of the Zen Institute in Mount Shasta, California, embarked on a transformative journey at 28, leaving a corporate accounting career for seven years of Zen training at the Rochester Zen Center, New York.

Returning to corporate life in Charlotte, North Caroline, he worked six years in a petrochemical company while volunteering with A Child’s Place, aiding homeless children.
