Velvele’s new podcast Queer Diaspora Talks with the support of Manchester Metropolitan University, MMU Contemporary Intimacies, Sexualities & Genders Research Group, and UK Research and Innovation, talks with LGBTQ+ activists & artists from Turkey who continue their struggles in other countries.
In the second episode, Yener Bayramoğlu (London) and Bawer (Barcelona) host Harem of No One (HoNO), a London-based art collective founded by queer performance artists from Turkey.
Toby Kind from HoNO talks about their shows blending art and activism, being immigrant queers in the UK's white performance scene and the possibility of building a bridge between LGBTQ+ struggles in Turkey and the UK.
