Quick Review: JisuLife Handheld Fan Life9 (5000mAh)
Description
It’s still summer, which means it’s still sweltering, so it’s time to try another piece of cool tech. While the JisuLife Handheld Fan Life5 Plus seemed decent value, it was still a mostly traditional sort of brushless DC fan. That is to say, it’s probably got more in common with a computer fan than anything exciting.
Then, while browsing for bargains, I came across a more upmarket model – the JisuLife Handheld Fan Life9, which ordinarily sells for AU$60, selling for just $36 on promotion. As a result, I decided to give it a try as it looked like something special.
Unboxing
Just like the other fan, it arrives in a cardboard box with a silver-and-black colour scheme.
The front of the box proclaims the status of the brand while showing a smaller image of the fan itself. The specifications indicate a 5V/2A input, 5000mAh battery and 60 x 33 x 119mm size.
The side of the box has an illustrated line-art image of the fan, labelled with its features. A list of inclusions adorns the other side of the box.
The fan is packaged inside a milky-white plastic bag.
The inclusions are a user guide, an around-the-neck lanyard with quick-release, a USB-A to USB-C cable for charging and the fan unit itself.
The fan itself has a black and grey colour scheme and looks rather trendy with a mixed gloss and matte finish. Compared to the Life5 Plus, this unit is much more compact, fitting well in the hand, shaped similarly to some miniature camcorders from the past. A key feature is a slide-switch to lock the unit off to avoid accidental activation when placed in a bag – a feature not present on the Life5 Plus.
The opposite side has key product details printed on it.
The front side has the outlet, which only measures around 32mm from edge to edge. The front side also has a feedback LED and soft power button with five selectable speeds.
