Description

Show 17 - Kai rescue and reducing waste in food banks - Food Waste and Food Banks - Presbyterian Support - In this episode we discuss how small beginnings can lead to change with Sarah Davis from Family Works at Presbyterian Support Otago. We hear about how a little initiative and collaboration can lead to influencing change in a recent project using unwanted textiles to make reuseable bags for the food bank. From the reuse of rescued kai, shifts to hybrid vehicles and a fledgling sustainability alliance of keen staff members, Sarah gives us some insight into the move to sustainability and how collaboration with others is a magic ingredient.

This show was broadcast on OAR 105.4FM Dunedin - http://oar.org.nz and made thanks to the support of NZ on Air.
