Federal authorities recall nearly 3,000 pounds of raw ground beef due to potential E. coli contamination. Mountain West Food Group is pulling Forward Farms Grass-Fed Ground Beef produced in early January. The product, packaged in 16-ounce vacuum-sealed packages, was distributed to retailers in California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Pennsylvania, and Washington. No illnesses have been reported, but E. coli O two six can cause diarrhea, vomiting, and in severe cases, kidney failure.
