Record-breaking performances electrified Massachusetts high school sports! Westwood quarterback Ty Pindel shattered school records with 458 passing yards and 5 touchdowns in a season-opening shootout. Other football standouts included Tabor Academy's Peter Bourque and Haverhill’s Michael Bayko. In other sports, St. Mary's Tabby Lopes recorded her fifth straight shutout in field hockey, Phillips Andover's Wylie Roossien had a staggering six assists in soccer, and Bellingham's Mia Milani dominated in volleyball with 31 kills. Plus, several local athletes are making big college commitments, including basketball star Vincent Osazee to Pacific and Jaelynn Scott to Tulsa.
