Description

For years, Austin City Council has tried to regulate short-term rentals, and it looks like finally, there is a solution. Plus, a contract for homelessness services is up in the air, there’s a not-in-my-backyard fight over where to put a new navigation center, and the city is rushing to keep some 28,000 naturally-occurring affordable housing units from being sold by 2030. Austin City Council has been busy lately — and City Cast Austin contributor Amy Stansbury, editor-in-chief of the Austin Common, joins host Nikki DaVaughn to get into it all. And, are you registered to vote? Today’s the deadline to do so if you want to participate in the Nov. 4 tax rate election, known as Proposition Q.
