The Gracie’s are arguably the most influential family in all of martial arts. Rener, grandson of grandmaster Helio Gracie, has dedicated his focus on the self-defense portion of Jiu-Jitsu, teaching law enforcement for over 20 years. In this episode we discuss the newly signed “Diaphragm Bill” by New York Mayor Bill De Blasio, which prohibits police officer’s from applying any pressure to the diaphragm. On the surface, this may sound like it protects civilians, but Rener believes it will cause far more harm than good.
