Adam confronts Tom about the unsettling meeting on the street, hoping they can get on the same page about their individual and collective histories with Dylan. Adam tries to remember everything that was said, feeling a creeping anxiety as he retraces his steps in Portland; The unsettling mystery continues as Adam recounts the strange episode with his therapist, before taking the train back toward New York as more is revealed.
