Revelation #46- Final
Dear Listeners, have you been peaceful in the Lord during the week? We have finally arrived to the final chapter of the final book of the Holy Bible. I thank God for allowing me to search and study His word throughout the weeks. Chapter 22, along with chapter 21, continues with Eternity, the world of eternal life without sin, without tears, and of course an Eternity without the devil. Chapter 22 also spoke of the events that would unfold during Eternity. In fact, verses pertaining to Eternity comes to an end in 22:5. However, from verses 6 to 14, there is a warning once again to the people of the age of tribulation and millennium. Then, in verse 16, another warning is given to those living in the church age. Verse 12 mentions the Second Advent. What we have seen so far is that the Lord returned to earth in chapter 19. In chapter 20 he reigned for a thousand years. In Chapter 21, eternity began. Now, as Revelation 22:5 comes to an end, final exhortations, warning and blessings appear again from verse 6.
Let’s read from (Revelation 22:1 KJV) ¶ And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. This water of life is different from the water that comes from the threshold of the temple in Ezekiel 40-48. The water that comes out of the throne in the book of Ezekiel does not match the content of the text as it comes from the Millennial temple. For example, the city of New Jerusalem in chapter 22 is 1,500 miles wide by 1,500 miles in height, but the city in chapter 48 of Ezekiel is 18,000 measures. The sizes are incomparable. Also, in Ezekiel chapters 40-48, the land is divided into 12 tribes, but in chapter 22 there is no division of the land. There is a pure river of clear water of life. Unto the woman of Samaria Our Lord said: …Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. (John 4:13-14 KJV) In Eternity, there will be an actual crystal clear river that flows out of the throne of God and of the Lamb, and this is called the river of water of life. It will flow right out of the throne of God and flow straight down the middle of the street reaching the roots of the trees that grow along the road touch this river. What a wonderful sight!
(Revelation 22:2 KJV) In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Do you remember the words similar to this one found in (Ezekiel 47:12 KJV)? This is the water that will flow from the threshold of the temple during the future millennial kingdom established on earth. And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine. Because the two words in Revelation 22 and Ezekiel 47 are similar, people may confuse them and mistake them for the same verse. However, the leaves in the book of Ezekiel are said to be medicine, and in Revelation 22, the leaves of the tree are said to be for healing the nations. These trees are not the same. We can realize that the model of events in eternity is what happens on earth during the Millennium. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Everything on earth is a model of what is in heaven. The two cities in Ezekiel 44-48 and Revelation 22 are not the same. The city in Ezekiel is a literal earthly temple through which the Levites come and go (Ezekiel 44:15 ). They have a literal temple in which they worship (Ezekiel 46:1). This literal temple is on a literal land, a divided land on this earth. This is not a heavenly city without a temple in it. The heavenly city has no walls. It was built on land divided into cities of the land, and the borders of the land were named and people could be seen worshiping in the actual temple. You will see that each element is different if you keep the image of this temple in mind and read the Book of Revelation as 21:22 says there is no temple. There are no Levites or sons of Zadok who serve here since there is no temple. The temple in Ezekiel is about 9 miles long, but the city of Revelation in heaven is 1500 miles long. The tree of 22:2 is the tree of life. The tree in Ezekiel is not called the tree of life. It bears twelve fruits, but the Bible does not call it the tree of life. Ezekiel 47:7 says there are many trees on the banks of the river, but it does not say what kind they are. The passages in Ezekiel are about Israel on earth, and we see 4,000 cubits worth of water flowing out of the house of the Lord to the south and trees growing on this side and on the other side of the stream. In Revelation 22:2, there is a river in New Jerusalem, but as a city without a temple, the river in Revelation is in a city that is not built on any land and is not at all on the earth. This is in heaven. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, This tree is the tree that God forbade Adam when he expelled him from the Garden of Eden. ¶ And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: (Genesis 3:22 KJV) Sinners were cast out of Eden because they would live forever under the curse. But the tree of life will make its appearance again, because Eden will be restored. which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (Revelation 22:2 KJV) The trees in Ezekiel were for food and their leaves were for medicine, but here it says the tree of life has leaves that heal the nations. These nations refer to nations distinct from Israel. This tree of life can be seen as healing the nations of the saved. Skip ahead to (Revelation 22:14 KJV) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. (Revelation 21:24 KJV) And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. (Revelation 21:26 KJV) And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. There will be many peoples on earth in eternity. They will bring their glory and honor through the Twelve Gates to the New Jerusalem. Why twelve gates? Turn to (Deuteronomy 32:7-9 KJV) ¶ Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee. When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, God is a divider, not integrator; he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. For the LORD’S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. This is why the nations of the earth were divided into twelve borders. When God looks down upon the nations, he sees twelve nations, each representing one of the twelve tribes of Israel. And a year is twelve months. The number 12 has a meaning. There are also twelve apostles. There are 24 elders in the heavenly throne. The Bible says those who represent the saints of the Old and New Testaments throw down their crowns and worship God. We find similar words in Deuteronomy if we turn to (Acts 17:24-27 KJV) God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: The words of Deuteronomy and Acts are all connected. Times of 12 months. 12 bounds/ borders. The number 12 has a meaning. Through natural revelation, we can see that there are twelve borders on the earth as well, which are very specific twelve borders. First is North America. 2nd, Central America 3rd, South America 4th, Antarctica 5th, The Arctic 6th, Asia 7th, Africa 8th, Australia 9th, West Indies 10th, East Indies 11th, Greenland and 12th Europe.
(Revelation 22:3-5 KJV) And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. This dominion begins during the millennium and continues into eternity. It sh
