Description

Benji exhibits obvious symptoms of bipolar illness, which include intense emotions that make you feel them too, I could identify with the character. He can simultaneously express humor, melancholy, deep sorrow, human emotion, delight, and annoyance. Though disorienting, it's really honest and unvarnished. In his portrayal of his cousin David, Jesse Eisenberg exhibits his typical fumbling anxiousness, which is becoming monotonous. However, it works in A Real Pain Flixtor movie because David frequently acts as a mirror, reflecting to Benji what it's like to be pain-free.
