After years of delays, Star Trek: Section 31 Lookmovie was finally reworked and condensed into this one-off streaming film. The film had a difficult development process, beginning as a TV series pitch back in 2018. It would be an understatement to say that it shows, as there is a persistent feeling that the ten-hour episodes that were originally intended have been cut down to a meager ninety minutes with little regard for character development, pacing, or cinematic aesthetics.
