The Eurovision Song Contest 1981 was the 26th edition and was held on 4 April 1981 at the Royal Dublin Society in Dublin, Ireland after Johnny Logan won in 1980 with the song 'What's Another Year?'.

This was Ireland's second time hosting the contest.
