What is the highest honor, greatest goal for life? Whoever your god or God is will determine it. The greatest honor in life is to be conformed into the image of God. We need to know the God who gathers in our midst to serve us. Wherever His word and sacraments are, He is present, truly and bodily. Our present sufferings cannot compare to the glory to come. Good Friday now, Easter to come. All who share in God's Good Friday will share in His Easter.
