Rivian, the electric vehicle manufacturer, unveiled its plans for self-driving technology and AI at its first Autonomy and AI Day. The company introduced Autonomy Plus, a hands-free driving feature for its second-generation R one vehicles, available as a subscription in early 2026 for $2,500 or $49.99 per month. Rivian aims to achieve Level Four autonomous driving, with its new custom processor, RAP one, and lidar technology in future R two models. The company also launched the Rivian Assistant, a voice-based chatbot, to help drivers and integrate with third-party apps.
