Publisher's Summary:
Long before the coming of the Imperium, the realm of Ultramar was ruled by Roboute Guilliman, the last Battle King of Macragge. Even after learning of his true heritage as a primarch son of the Emperor of Mankind, he strove to expand his domain as efficiently and benevolently as possible, with the XIII Legion Ultramarines as his alone to command.
Now, facing a rival empire on the ork-held world of Thoas, Guilliman must choose his weapons carefully - otherwise his dream of a brighter future could be lost forever.
Members Reviews:
perfect for warhammer fans
The book presents a glimpse look into the mind if Primarch Guiliman during an ork operation.
Excellent written and acted 5/5
Wholly enjoyable, the narrarator was very good, over all fun listen, excellent length of book.
Masterful work
A great story which gives more depth into one of the great heroes of the Imperium.
As usual Toby delivers with great acting.
An excellent insight into Guilliman
This is what I had hoped all of the books in the Primarch series would be like. One walk away with a much better understanding of how Guilliman thinks & feels about himself, his Legion, the Emperor & the Great Crusade.
The story itself is good, if anti-climactic. This feels like the TV show Lost if the Ultramarines were there. It is engaging, mysterious, & perfect for illustrating the Primarch.
The narration is adequate. The whole book is just Ultramarines speaking, so very little variation is speech, but that is appropriate. Me. Longworth is perfectly fine, if unmemorable.
great
love it I been looking forwarders too this for long time great job THANKS
