Description

My old teacher, Gurunath, once said:

Anything not rooted in the soil of love flowers not.

I have carried that truth for decades. I have come to see that the universe itself is the flowering of love — not metaphorically, but literally — that love is the creative impulse behind every atom, every breath, every birth and death. It is the field through which all form arises and to which all returns.

When we think, speak, or act without love at the root, the universe withholds its blessing. The thing may sprout — it may even grow for a time — but it will not flower. For what is not born of love cannot endure, because it is out of alignment with the very fabric of existence.

To live wisely is not to cease acting or speaking, but to root every thought, every word, every deed in love from its inception. To pause before creation — whether that creation is a sentence, a decision, or a gesture — and ask quietly: “Is this arising from love?”

If it is not, let it rest. Let it compost in silence until love reclaims it. For only what is planted in the soil of love will flower in eternity.

In the quiet between heartbeats a whisper calls you home, you are not broken you are becoming. These threads of silence and sound are letters from the threshold, offerings from the edge of stillness. Nigel  TEA AND ZEN - MAIN LIBRARY
