Ruby and Shea decide to head back to Johto and investigate the Waterfall in Mt. Mortar after a tip from the Black Belt hanging out inside the fighting gym in Saffron City. After some exploring there and a fun catch, there is another ride on the S.S. Aqua back to Kanto and a journey to challenge two more of the gyms there.

Violet finds someone who wants a trade and so it is back to the Pokemon Center where she reunites with a friend. But when it comes time to actually make the trade something comes up.
