There is a shortage of GPs in rural Ireland. Why is there a reluctance for doctors to work in beautiful areas such as the Iveragh Peninsula? Dr Bernard Ruane is a GP based in Milltown in mid-Kerry. He says the crisis is due to several reasons including prohibitive insurance costs and bureaucracy.
