After eight years in corrections, and finishing up as a parole officer, Cliff Fewel has honed an ability to listen to people who have screwed up, with an uncanny ability to offer effective feedback that cuts through all the BS and gets people thinking about taking responsibility for their own lives.

Cliff joins Joey on Rural Wyoming Matters to talk about his efforts through “Stay Free Forever” in a discussion that is focused on personal responsibility, reducing recidivism, judicial reform and working your way back into society, while noting that:

- What happened to you from 0-10 years old has a lot to do with who you are and what you do today

- People must look hard at who they hang with (family included and family especially)

- Communication solves way more problems than ghosting

- Thinking about how we think is something most people don't do

- The past is not necessarily prologue
