Welcome to the first episode of season two of the Drop Bass Not Bombs podcast.
In today’s episode we hear from Brianna Paauwe. Brianna has been a wheelchair user for 11 years, but a raver for much longer than that. She found the EDM and rave scene early in high school and it has shaped her ever since. Even after becoming paralyzed from a car accident in 2011, she never gave up her love from music, dancing, and going out to festivals and shows. She has used her life experiences to help give back to both the EDM and Disability community and dedicated herself and her education to helping others find the resources they need to live has full of a life as possible, no matter what your disability or struggle may be. She uses her platform or share her story in the hopes of showing others how beneficial and healing it can be when you get involved with communities like the EDM and Rave scene. Music saved her life and she can’t wait to use music and connection to help other grow and find a space to feel accepted and included in.
