Did you know that a baggage handling system (BHS) can use up to 40% of an airport’s energy requirements? The BHS is at the very core of airport operations and also has an impact on use of space, assets and people’s working conditions. Therefore, any efforts to improve an airport’s green credentials must look at making baggage operations more sustainable.
