In our times with the Lord in the morning singing is one of the best ways to get out of how we feel and get to Him! It also serves as a bit of an appetizer to whet our appetite for the word. A hunger and thirst for the Lord is also a huge component of our times with Him. We shouldn't spend with Him in the morning merely to check a box or fulfill a requirement of the Christian life, hopefully we have a genuine hunger and thirst for Him!
