Stefanie Yeatee Buttner Carey is a Liberian native who was born and raised in Monrovia, Liberia. She holds a Masters degree in International Business and has several years of professional experience. As a victim of a 14yr civil war and corruption, she understands the circumstances of growing up in a corrupt nation and how it feels to be exploited. Stefanie has dedicated her life to improving the lives of the youth and children in however she can through the Etta Lloyd Walker Foundation. ELWF’s mission is to empower underserved youth by transforming their reality through challenging the way they think and solve problems, ultimately shifting their mindsets to inspire an attitude of excellence. Through her passion and dedication, she has helped change the lives of many young people in Liberia who were either teenage mothers, raped victims, or a child seeking support. It is her hope and pleasure to expand and be able to help many others more.
