In 1933 the U.S.S. Akron, a 785 foot long airship, was supposed to take it's maiden voyage from Detroit to Huntington West Virginia. On October 10th people in Gallipolis Ohio saw an airship breaking up and catching fire across the Ohio River beyond the town of Point Pleasant. This is when the mysteries start and something uncommon happens in an area that would later be best know for the Mothman and the Silver Bridge collapse.
