in episode 4 of this season of macabre, we travel into the darkness to take a closer look at the legends, myths and origins of the vampire.  it is a creature featured in folklore from all over the world, in nearly every culture and religion, depicted with a variety of characteristics and forms.  in today's world, we know the vampire as a beloved character in our favorite novels and movies, a tragically misunderstood creature with unrivaled beauty and strength.  but to our ancestors, the vampire was a feared and unwelcome entity, thought to be the bringer of disease and suffering.  could the legends be true?  we'll leave it up to you to decide what's real.
