S2 E4 - Weekly: January 18 - January 27, 2020
Description
The sudden & tragic passing of Kobe Bryant cast a long shadow over the 62nd Grammys. However, music's healing powers can always be looked to in tough times like this. While Sunday January 26th was the biggest news of the week, a number of singles and under the radar releases kept things interesting. |
Jack Harlow's "WHATS POPPIN" single, music video, and tour announcement kicked off the week alongside the long awaited announcement of BTS' new project "Map of the Soul: 7", 2020 World Tour, and the release of the single "Black Swan". Numerous CHH releases are touched on, specifically Reach Records announcing that Hulvey is the newest signee to their growing roster and the mid-week release of his first EP, "Prelude". |
Then Colton and Ryan weigh in on their takeaways from the 2020 Grammy Awards from wins, to snubs, performance, controversies, and more. As well as the new songs released in conduction with the ceremony such as Demi Lovato's return with "Anyone", Gary Clark Jr.'s "This Land [Remix] (feat. Black Thought)", Lil Was X's "Rodeo [Remix] (feat. Nas)", and Meek Mill's "Letter to Nipsey (feat. Roddy Ricch)". |
