We have no idea how we will react in trauma. My husband is a doctor and I can see him reacting in any number of ways. He could rush to help save me, but he might also just be in total shock and know that the shot was fatal and from there just try to maintain his composure. - My dad was sick for ten years and when he passed away, I lived 6,000 miles away. I didn't cry for a week until I was able to book my flight, get pack for the funeral, and navigate covid-quarantine requirements. And then I just bawled all night before my flight. It literally took me a week to be in any sort of other mindset than just "get to mom." Trauma is so different for everyone.
