SCENE 4: SHEPHERDS AND ANGELS
Dad: “Then the time came for Jesus to be born. Do you remember who heard the news of Jesus’ birth first?”
Children: “Wasn’t it the shepherds?”
Dad: “Yes, the Bible tells it this way in Luke 2:8-11.”
Scripture: And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel appeared to them. And the glory of the Lord shown around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. Today, in the town of David, a Savior has been born unto you, He is Christ the Lord.”
Children: “The angels were happy, weren’t they? Didn’t they sing a song?”
Dad: “They sure did! They were overjoyed! The greatest gift, Jesus the Savior, caused all of heaven to have the very first Christmas party! The angels sang...
Angel: (while angels are singing in background) Glory to God in the highest. And on earth, peace, goodwill toward men.”
