This week, we speak with Harry Eckman from International Cat Care. Based in Portugal, Harry conducts research across the Cat Population Management sector, figuring out solutions to the problems cats and people face globally. In this episode, Harry shares methods of strategic approaches to helping cats through TNVR, acting strategically instead of reactively, and building capacity amongst small organizations sterilizing community cats. By de-centering TNR as a single tool, and rather looking at CPM as a holistic approach, we discuss how addressing root causes and pushing upstream can have a more strategic approach in cat welfare, and how we can actualize a bigger impact for Cat Population Management programs.
