Description
A series of safe-deposit box heists has hit North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, with thieves targeting Sparkasse banks in Halle and Gelsenkirchen. In Halle, four boxes were emptied without force, while in Gelsenkirchen, nearly all 3,250 customer boxes were ransacked. Authorities are urging witnesses to come forward and are working overtime to connect the dots. Meanwhile, a former Sparkasse employee in Bonn is the main suspect in a similar theft.
