In this edition, we take a look at the highly ambitious project to place fleet carriers all over the galaxy, as ports of call for explorers tens of thousands of light years from home. We also visit the unremarkable star system, LFT 509 - unremarkable, that is, except for its unexplained permit lock, and the possibility that it might hold the secrets of the Dark Wheel. Or at least, some forgotten pirate treasure. Also, in our continuing “Hard Look at Hardpoints” series, we give a hard look at one of the most fearsome weapons in the combateer’s arsenal: the railgun.
