Scranton Girls Rock Is Striking a Chord by Combining Fun & Music
Description
Scranton native Natalie Jurosky returns to the podcast this week to share her passion to make music fun for young girls while helping them to gain confidence, musical skills, understand the business side of music, engage them in team work and encourage them to have a blast rocking out together!Natalie founded the nonprofit Scranton Girls Rock and will lead the organization's second summer camp in July of 2026. But first, Natalie wants to take time to reflect on the first summer camp in July of 2025, savor the good times, and celebrate the campers and their families at an event on Nov. 23 at the V Spot in Scranton from 3-7PM.
SGR Summer Camp volunteer Gabby Tolerico also joins us to share what it was like to lead groups of girls in creating music. And she talks about her own musical talents. Gabby is a music teacher and a singer and member of the band Backup Plan who will be performing at the V Spot on Dec. 26. Check them out and follow Gabby Tolerico and Backup Plan on Instagram and Facebook.
