A protection order is a tool that may be used by persons residing in the same household who are experiencing domestic violence. Ms. Harvey provides insight into the expanded definition of domestic violence under the amended legislation as well as the expanded categories of persons who are now able to apply for a protection order.
Information is also provided as it relates to the duration of a protection order and the consequences of breaching one.
