Week three is here and we have a good one! After two weeks of the original taking the win, will a sequel finally be able to break through? This week is as good of a chance as any with the epic films of The Terminator and the Terminator 2: Judgment Day. This will be the first week in which there is a clear difference between budget and production values between the first and second movie. As we laid it out in our first episode this season, the argument “the special effects are better because of the bigger budget” is not a viable argument. So how will these bee defended? 

To find out, Steve will have the honor of defending the original The Terminator and Jeff will take the defense of the sequel The Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Without the obvious argument of better special effects (especially ones as revolutionary as T2) how will the arguments for the film hold up? Is it still better from a character and story perspective? Or does the ingenuity of the original win out?
