According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Health Equity, is “when everyone has the opportunity to be as healthy as possible.” Exploring ways systems reforms can actively support every person where they have an opportunity to attain their full health potential. If the status quo continues the ‘disadvantaged’ are prevented from achieving this potential due to social position or other socially constructed scenarios. A systemic shift towards health for all impact on reduce impact of historic inequities including-differences in length of life; quality of life; rates of disease, disability, and death; severity of disease; and access to treatment.In this episode we welcome in special guest Dr. Lonnie Snowden, professor of Health Policy at UC Berkeley and Health Disparities Researcher. Dr. Snowden has an extensive history of engaging policy development efforts utilizing his research that focuses on mental health care access, quality, and equity, for racial and ethnic communities and underserved populations.  Panelist for this episode include Dr. Kate Cordell, Co-Founder and CEO of Opeeka, Arshia Gratiot, Co-Founder and CEO of Eupnoss and Cynthia Orofo, Co-Founder of Culture Care Collective.
