Description

To recognize and honor the history of the LGBTQ+ community, the office of multicultural programs and LGBTQ+ student services at Missouri State University will host several events and activities on campus.

They run from Oct. 2-28.

We celebrate by creating a safe, supportive space for all students, recognizing that over 40% of college students come from diverse, intersectional backgrounds,” said Shy Wells, assistant director for multicultural programs and LGBTQ+ student services at MSU.

Our programs are designed around harm reduction to ensure everyone, regardless of race, gender, culture or sexual orientation, can thrive authentically. We believe higher education helps students shape their best selves, and we’re committed to supporting them on that journey, fostering a strong sense of community.”
