Blake Bates faced felony and misdemeanor charges for the death of his baby boy, Royal, who was attacked and killed by his pit bull mix in April 2024. Bates' girlfriend, who was also charged, entered into a plea agreement to testify against him at trial. Now Bates' case has taken a major turn as newly-released videos show Bates and Alyssa Smith being warned about Kilo, the dog, biting a child a year before Royal was killed.
